Land assembly & the deal

How the land was put together, by whom, and what the paper trail says about when.

Twelve contiguous parcels in Middleton Township — 775.020 deeded acres, whose union is a single polygon about 1,821 by 2,489 metres — all carry the same owner of record: LIAMES, LLCrec . [verified]

Eight of the twelve mail their tax bills to 1 META WAY, MENLO PARK, CA 94025. [verified] That is Meta’s own headquarters sitting in a county tax field, independent of any announcement. Four of the twelve go somewhere else entirely, to 52 E Gay St, Columbus. A billing address is not ownership of the LLC, and the distance between those two statements is the whole discipline of this chapter.

What the layer proves, and the three things it structurally cannot

This register is compiled from the Wood County auditor’s CAMA parcel layer, not from a stack of deed images — a compiled register, not an instrument read. Reading it honestly means reading its limits first.

  1. It keeps only the last conveyance per parcel, so every grantor is invisible. The two 2025-04-09 quitclaim consolidations carrying 519 of the 775 acres folded in eleven predecessor tracts and erased their purchase prices. The $6,921,460 of surviving consideration is a floor on a fraction — never what the assembly cost.
  2. It has no editingInfo, so it must be dated from the data. The maximum sale date across all 73,839 rows is 2025-07-25, with zero rows after it. Every negative drawn from this layer is a statement about July 2025 and nothing later.
  3. It serves one row per polygon PART. Deduping on parcel id drops land; summing the acreage double-counts. Union the geometry, take the acreage once.

Because the register keeps only last conveyances, who sold it is still an open question at the end of this chapter. The Ohio Secretary of State’s business search refuses automated retrieval, so Liames LLC’s organizers and statutory agent are unread, and the Meta attribution rests on Meta’s own announcement rather than on a corporate filing.

The record behind this chapter

What this chapter stands on: the records it reads, the inputs its modeled figures rest on, and the reference data behind its baselines — the same pages the record screens serve, not a second copy. A figure the record does not support stays [open] and links nothing.
